| You don't know the wilderness till you get away from vehicles and noisy kids. And you don't really know the wilderness until you spend a night or two in it. That means hiking a trail with the essential gear, and we're going back to St. Joseph Peninsula March 19-21, the most beautiful wilderness beach in North America. We're also going down the Conasauga River in North Georgia this July. (Check the calendar for those events.) Meanwhile, join us this Saturday evening if you want to discuss the basics of backpacking skills, gear, etc.; or if you want to share your skills and favorite gear; or even if you would never think venturing more than a few yards from your car into the wild - but you are a good cook.It's a potluck, not a long presentation, so bring a dish to share, or something to drink, and let's spend another evening together at my place in Roswell. |
