We also sponsor social
gatherings, and members frequently host informal seminars to increase interest
in and pass along knowledge about a favorite outdoor activity.
Community service is also an important element of WNG's mission, with maintenance
hikes scheduled on a regular basis in cooperation with the
U.S. Forest Service,
the Nature Conservancy,
and other agencies and organizations.
The pleasure and satisfaction we get from WNG derives from the creativity and
energy of our membership.
Annual membership dues are $20 per person. This covers administrative costs such
as postage and the preparation of the newsletter and calendar, but not the cost of
any outings. WNG sponsored wng_trips are not-for-profit, and participants will generally be
expected to chip in for gas, parking fees, meals, and other necessary expenses. All
memberships are governed by the WNG By-Laws
